CREATING HEIRLOOM VERRE EGLOMISE HOME ACCESSORIES FOR OVER 75 YEARS

Verre Eglomise

Verre eglomise, painting on the reverse side of glass, is a technique that dates back to pre-Roman eras and has been used throughout Europe since the 15th century. The technique was revived by French decorator and art dealer Jea-Baptiste Glomy in the 18th century.

And the last 75 years, our master artisans at Atelier Eglomise have worked closely with museums and private collectors round the world in restoration projects of antiques and decorative glassware. As leaders in the art of Verre Eglomise, we are proud to introduce our exclusive home accessory line now available online to the trade and public.

Each tray is categorized, unique and absolutley one of kind.

Artisanal Tradition

Each of our trays are hand-painted on reverse glass and set into aged gold leaf frame. Out frames our made of wood and out glass is tempered to withstand some heat and moisture - meaning our trays are both decorative and functional. Each tray takes approximately one week to complete from start to finish due to complexity of layered shading, hand-painting and craftsmanship.
